seven months

Happy seven months, Enora!

Oh my, how big you are getting!

Here's what you are up to this month:
  • Well you certainly hate being on your stomach. I really think that is preventing you from trying to crawl and roll over, but the good thing is you are a great sitter! Maybe you will go straight from sitting to walking.
  • We've been giving you some mashed up foods (courtesy of Gerber and Nana), and the foods you've tried so far are: rice cereal, oatmeal cereal, whole grain cereal, baby mum mums (rice rusks), squash, sweet potatoes, green beans, peas, bananas, avocado, and pastina. You are willing to eat whatever we put in your mouth, whether you like it or not, so thank you for being adventurous.
  • We've been alternating size 2 and size 3 diapers, since the 3s hold your poops better but cause some leaks of #1.
  • You love to babble and scream (!!) and blow bubbles. You aren't making any consistent noises yet, like mama or dada, but your screaming is entertaining enough.
  • The separation anxiety is holding, and I think you are getting some stranger anxiety as well. You can handle "strangers" holding you for a little while but after a few minutes you need your mommy.
  • You are a flirt!  You love smiling at new faces, especially those of men. Maybe they just have funnier faces than women.
  • Clothing-wise you can still (amazingly) fit into some 3-6 month onesises, but for pants you need at least a 6 month or up. The dress you wore on mother's day was surprisingly too small, even though it was a 6-9 month size. That just goes to show you that all clothing brands are different.
  • You love chewing on anything you can get your hands on. I call almost all of your toys "chew toys" because of this.
  • I asked your daddy what he wanted to add to this list and he said to mention your poop. Yes, you poop. a lot. sometimes once a day, sometimes three times a day. sometimes tiny poops, sometimes massive all-the-way-up-to-your-neck poops. yep. fun stuff. we still love you, baby poops.

and of course an angry/i-love-eating-butterflies face for good measure.
