Happy three months, Enora!
I chose this picture because she was actually smiling (she smiles a lot but doesn't like to smile for the camera much) and waving her arms and legs around, which she loves to do. Aunt Janet made her shoes!
I've made a list of a bunch of things she does lately:
- likes looking at herself in the mirror
- likes anything with a face on it
- starting to hang on to things if put near her hand; but just slowly starting to reach for things
- can put a lot of weight on her legs and enjoys "standing"
- still loves lying on her changing pad; will laugh when you play with her arms and make her hug herself
- eats between 4 and 6 ounces at every meal
- still in 3 month clothing, 0-3 month sizes are getting too small
- likes looking at her feet if they have animal faces on them
- loves her mommy and daddy and will follow us (with her eyes and head) around the room
- likes light up and musical toys, especially violet the dog and her singing paint brush and bucket
- still wakes up 1-2 times a night
- likes sitting in her bumbo
- still hates tummy time, but getting better at holding her head up in that position. in fact she can do baby push ups now and can keep her chest off the floor for a short period
- likes to "help" holding her bottle, but always pushes it away, making feeding time very difficult!
This is her hooray I'm three months! pose.
I tried putting her on the floor without her bear "rug," but she was not happy about that...
One exciting thing we're noticing (other than everything above) is that her eyes are slowly changing color. We think they'll be hazel (like ours) or perhaps gray like her nana's. Only time will tell!
