14 months

Happy fourteen months, Enora!

Here's what you have been up to this month:

  • You love playing with shoes. You take mommy and daddy's shoes and carry them around with you and drop them off randomly around the house. It's fun trying to find our shoes in the morning. You also love playing with your own shoes and you try to put them on. You haven't mastered that yet but you try.
  • You love wearing things around your neck - pajamas, socks, underwear, jackets, shirts.. yours or ours! If you find it in the laundry basket or laying on a couch, you'll grab it and try wear it around your neck. You especially enjoy the purple mask and fabric pieces I wore as part of my ninja turtle halloween costume.
  • You are still into giving kisses - initiating them and responding when asked for them.
  • We're working on getting you to say some words but we haven't heard anything understandable from you yet. Maybe a "hi" here and there but that's about it.
  • Food-wise, you eat everything we eat unless it has tomatoes or apples in it. You love food! And even if you pretend that you don't, I can usually put it on a fork or eat it myself and you're instantly interested in it again.
  • You love "reading" and sitting on things. You have a little step stool in your room that you sit on and you open up your books and look at the pictures. You don't care much for me reading them to you, but looking at the pics is just great. You also sit on your big Eeyore stuffie in the living room to watch tv or play with your toys. Shhh.. I think Santa might bring you some real chairs for Christmas!
  • You are usually pretty good about handing us things that are new or you shouldn't be playing with.. like if you find something on the ground (a rubberband this morning) you show it and hand it to me right away. But the tv remotes and phones are still your favorite - can't get those things outta your hands without crying involved.
I promised videos in my last post, so here are some that I uploaded. They are older, but I think they're cute and it's fun to see how much she has grown!  I'll upload more soon, promise.

For those wondering, yes my mom is still in the hospital. Docs are working hard to make her better and figure out a treatment plan. We're still hoping she's home by Christmas, but only time will tell.
