Happy four months, Enora!
What have you been up to since last month?
- You love chewing on everything! Your hands (as evidenced by your monthly picture) and anything that's even close to your face are fair game
- You are now purposefully reaching out, grabbing, and holding onto things (with the intention of putting them in your mouth), whereas last month we had to place items very close to or in your hands before you grabbed on to them
- You are "talking!" Babbling is more like it, but you love making lots of high-pitched noises and cooing at everyone and everything
- You are getting much much better at tummy time, but yes, you still hate it
- You are not rolling over yet but we are working on it
- We've "retired" all of your 4oz bottles and are now only using 8oz bottles, since you eat 6 oz (sometimes more!) at every feeding
- What I called your "laugh" last month really is your laugh! We are getting better at making you smile and laugh - thank you Aunt Jenn for showing us that you loooove baby talk!
- You are a drool machine. The spit up is getting better, but now we get to deal with all this drool. No signs of teeth yet...
- You got your first cold this week! You and Mommy both came down with a cold, although mommy got the worst of it. You've been congested and coughing just a bit.
- 0-3 month clothes are out! Some of your 3 month clothes still fit, but you are also wearing 3-6 and 6 month clothing too
- You are not sleeping through the night yet (although there was some hope last month) but you are only waking up once (sometimes twice) a night which helps mommy and daddy get some sleep
- You are noticing your feet a bit more but you are not grabbing or reaching out for them yet
- You still like "helping" holding your bottle while you're eating, but your new trick is grabbing for your bottle when I hold it in front of you, and then you pull it in towards your face (like everything else!). You have not mastered getting the nipple in your mouth or tilting the bottle so you can actually drink, yet...
Tomorrow (Valentine's Day!) is Enora's four month checkup, so I will post again tomorrow with her stats and some more pictures.
