six months

Happy six months, Enora!

I know she is not smiling. She would just not smile in the chair...as if sitting was enough, so why should she smile too?

You're still cute, baby girl.

Here's what you are up to this month:
  • You're sitting unassisted! Since at least 5.5 months. Way to go, baby!
  • You are now eating oatmeal cereal along with the rice. We give you rice cereal at lunch and oatmeal at dinner. We've also given you some avocado - you make funny faces when eating it but you still eat it!
  • You are also up to 8 oz of formula at almost every feeding.
  • Not only do you like grabbing your feet, but you love eating them too! Actually, you love eating anything you can get your hands on.. cups, blankets, tables..
  • You're still not rolling over, but you're able to turn so that you can see what's behind you when you're lying on your back.
  • You can straighten your arms while propping yourself up during tummy time.
  • Separation anxiety is creeping in. Sometimes you're ok when I leave for work, but you're more often than not getting upset nowadays. Even when I come home from work, say hello to you, then step into another room for half a second you'll start crying!
  • Clothing-wise, you still fit into some of your 3 month onesies and outfits, but 6 month clothes are taking over. You're still in size 2 diapers as well, but I think that will be changing soon.
  • Gryphon and Chloe are your favorite (living) toys! The moment they walk by your eyes are drawn to them. You really want to pet and play with them, but they are still quite wary of you and don't come close too often.
  • You love flapping your arms up and down like a bird and kicking your feet. It's really cute to watch!
  • You enjoy making squeaky noises and other sounds and one of my many nicknames for you is Squeaks!

Here's my squeaks in action during her photoshoot:

mmm, feet are so tasty!

Yes, she does cry!
